Peter’s food garden is located in Brisbane, Australia and is 15m by 20m in area. “I have been growing food in this garden for about 6 years now and have progressively built up the fertility of the soil using biodynamic and organic gardening methods. The soil now has very good humus levels after starting out as lacking in organic matter and very unproductive. This soil transformation has been vital to the success of the garden and has also had the affect of significantly reducing the amount of water required to keep the plants happy. I’ve been very diligent in making compost and always have some to use when I plant.
We get food from the garden every day of the year. It makes a big contribution to our food supply and supplements the organic fruit and vegetables we buy. I can honestly say the vegetables and herbs from our garden are the tastiest food I have ever eaten.
