Release 1 of the Cityfood Growers web site.

April 2008 Stall holder at the Organic and Natural Living Expo in Burpengary, Queensland .
May 2008 Peter Kearney chosen as panel member at the Brisbane Localisation Conference on the subject of localising food production.
June 2008 Samford Pump newspaper, story on web site titled “Local food production”.
June 2008 Web site bug fixes and updated content.
June 2008 Brisbane City Council funds community gardens in the BCC region with web site memberships, as part of its "Food in the City" initiative.
June 2008 Trial underway for community engagement in food garden’s within a peri-urban location with the Vortex Garden commenced in Samford, Queensland .
July 2008 Green Magazine, Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design, story on release of the web site within “Gardening advice”.
July 2008 North West News, Brisbane – story on web site titled “Online tools to grow organic food”.
July 2008 Presentation of the web site to the Caboolture Permaculture Group at the CREC community centre in Burpengary, Queensland .
July 2008 Online member survey released to assist with planning for additional site features and to improve the existing site.

July 2008 Story in the New Zealand Weekend Gardener Magazine, issue 247, titled "New Aussie organics web site".
August 2008 Series of food gardening workshops to commence in Samford, Queensland on the 23 August 2008. One free workshop per year for Cityfood Grower members.
September 2008 Multi user access established for the web site enabling schools and organisations to use the site.
September 2008 150 students of Ferny Grove High school agriculture course established as users of the web site. Instructional presentation to teachers and students. Interview with Brisbane radio 4BC on introducing school students to food gardening.
September 2008 Initiated the Samford local food cooperative, which is a group of hobby growers in the Samford/Dayboro region. The Group aims to develop a strong culture of local food growing, tap into existing hidden supply and build surplus for local consumers.
October 2008 Presented the multi- user access features of the web site at forum of high school and tertiary agriculture/gardening teachers for South East Queensland. The Fery Grove High School accees was referred to as a pilot.
November 2008 Peter Kearney presented a Biodynamic gardening workshop in Samford, which is part of a series of workshops on Biodynamics and organic gardening being held over the next months.
